LS LOWRY

One of the reasons for the trip north was to visit the LS Lowry gallery. I remember seeing some of the works in Salford Art Gallery when a student but they’re now in a new modern gallery in Media City. Fascinating window on life in and around the north. He’s of course known for his matchstick people but his early work shows a very skilled draughtsman. Well worth the visit.
