HIDCOTE

After a failed attempt to visit Hidcote on my birthday we tried again and went with Colette and Bryan. When I looked out of the bedroom window in the morning it was overcast and dull so I put on black jeans. Mistake. In the air conditioned car and for the first half hour in the gardens it was fine but it got really warm so I got uncomfortable. I love the garden but it was suffering with the lack of rain. We came back via the sausage sandwich cafe north of Stow on the Wold. I started a bit grumpy because of the black jeans mistake but the collective decision to sit outside in the blazing sun only made it worse. Compromise. Going with the flow.
