LONDON

Lovely weekend being entertained by Tom and Jess with a visit from Abbie. We set off early so as to get to a slot that had been booked at the Horniman Gardens where there was a plant fare. Just what we need, more plants. Abbie joined us at a Persian restaurant for dinner. My main course was Shirin Pulao apparently a typical Iranian dish of rice topped with sour orange, sweet and fragrant spices, almond and pistachio and chicken. Dessert was Turkish delight and rosewater cheesecake. Beer was only £2 per bottle! Don’t get that in the Cotswolds.
